The Mimetic
I have never been a fan of reading books till I read my first entire book ever which was Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. This was the first book I fell in love with it was a true story about a young girl who was rape by a guy in her high school. I find that I loved it so much because it was a mimetic I fell in love with the story was because it was built around the whole rape and how it affected the young girl through high school. It book showed me that I was a lover of nonfiction stories.
After reading this book I began looking for other nonfiction when came up on a book called She said Yes by Misty Bernall. Which was about the Columbine High school shooting, we were all aware of the shooting but we did not know the stories of the students who died. This book talk about a girl who was killed for saying yes that she believed in God. I found myself living in this book as I was watching everything that happen in that school. This story for me is also a mimetic, because I lived for the story.
The thematic
I came to enjoy Fifity Shades of Grey because of the meaning behind the story. Everyone thinks that the book is all about sex and or being a dominatricks. But in all reality it’s a love story about change and how love can change a person. I found myself loving the book even though it was a fiction story and I am a person  who love nonfiction it caught my attention this book because to me is a true life real story.
Same goes with my childhood story I loved it because I was a ballerina when I was a child and I was shy and nervous that my mom would not notice me in my dances. This book has a lot of sentimental value to me because it played a role in my life to teach me that it is okay to be different.
The Synthetic
Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney is a book that I enjoy Reading to my students at the center. Reason because the words in the book has a rhythm that is ongoing, and I love to not mention a word to see if the children are listen to how every word flows in the story.
I find that my enjoyment of reading is all over the place I enjoy reading from every kind of genre rather it is mimetic, thematic and or synthetic. I just really enjoy a good book that catches my attention like I said I am not a fan of reading but when I enjoy it I love it. I feel that the books I have read have made me the reader I am today that enjoys nonfiction stories. I love to learn from the books I read and get a good understanding of the stories and the meaning behind the stories. I have yet to find another book that catches my attention but till then I have to read what my teacher give me.
